Installation

Note:
  • If you already have Xenta installed, then it's strongly recomended to make backups

Step 1: Deploy

If you have a SRC package
  • Create or use existing ASP.NET 4.0 application pool with the "Classic" pipeline mode
  • Create a web site for each applicaiton you want to deploy
  • If you want to use net.pipe/net.tcp protocol, then you will need to add net.pipe/net.tcp protocol support to web site, wich will contain Xenta.Services.Host application, and create a additional web site binding
  • Unzip package somewhere
  • Open solution in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
  • Publish required applications
  • Upload applicaitons to related web sites

If you have a BIN package
  • Create or use existing ASP.NET 4.0 application pool with the "Classic" pipeline mode
  • Create a web site for each applicaiton you want to deploy
  • If you want to use net.pipe/net.tcp protocol, then you will need to add net.pipe/net.tcp protocol support to web site, wich will contain Xenta.Services.Host application, and create a additional web site binding
  • Unzip package somewhere
  • Upload applicaitons to related web sites

If you have a AIO package
  • Create or use existing ASP.NET 4.0 application pool with the "Classic" pipeline mode
  • Create a web site
  • If you want to use net.pipe/net.tcp protocol, then you will need to add net.pipe/net.tcp protocol support to web site and create a additional web site binding
  • Unzip package somewhere
  • Upload applicaitons to related web sites

Step 2: Installation

Installation using XentaInstaller
  • Create a new or use existing database
  • Run XentaInstaller
  • Follow installation steps

Note:
  • XentaInstaller are able to make update. It will check for installed version

Manual Installation
  • Download SRC package
  • Unzip it somewhere
  • In "Data" folder you will find scripts related to your database type
  • Create a new or use existing database
  • Run these scripts in following order
  • Schemas
  • Permissions
  • Coutries, Languages, Currencies, Time Zones(not required, if you already have Xenta installed)
  • Message Templates
  • Data(not required, if you already have Xenta installed)
  • Settings

Step3: Configuration
  • Add your database connection string to ConnectionStrings.config file
  • For each application, find "Common.UrlHelper.Hosts" setting in App.config file and configure it(setting is responsible for applications interconnection)
  • Configure rewriting rules
  • Configure WCF bindings
